Rings in Dragon’s Dogma 2
Rings in Dragon’s Dogma 2 are accessories that are equippable by the Arisen. These rings provide boosts and special effects, from boosting Strength, to increasing Magick Defense. Any vocation can equip a ring. These boosts and special effects will greatly help your character in progressing, so you should always be on the lookout for rings that will be beneficial for your character.
Fighter
Ring of Tenacity increases your maximum stamina by 90. It can be bought at Celeste’s Smithy in Checkpoint Rest Town for 3,000G. This is good for a fighter early on, as you can block or attack more. This is helpful as fighters struggle with stamina management.
Ring of Triumph increases your maximum health and stamina by 100, while also increasing carry weight capacity by 5. This can be obtained by turning in 15 Seeker’s Tokens to a Vocation Guild, with Vernworth being the closest at this point in the game.
Ring of Grit reduces stamina cost of blocking with a shield by 25%. This can be found on an altar in Worldsend Cavern. This is very useful for a fighter, as fighters have stamina management due to blocking a lot of attacks.
Ring of Momentum increases your maximum stamina by 150. You can find this inside a chest in Thunderclap Cave. You can eventually replace Ring of Tenacity with this ring.
Ring of Quickening increases stamina recovery speed by 10%. You can buy this in Volcanic Island Armory in Volcanic Island Camp for 10,000G. You can obtain a second one by buying it from Gautstafr once you finish Put a Spring in Thy Step.
Mage
Ring of Tenacity is good for mages early on, as they consume a lot of stamina during spellcasting.
You should replace Ring of Tenacity with this as soon as you get this. This gives you more stamina for casting.
Ring of Articulacy reduces time taken to incant spells by 15%. You can buy this from Grisha’s Armory over at Sacred Arbor.
Ring of Recitation reduces time taken to incant spells by 25%, but it reduces your maximum health by 20. This can be found inside a chest in Tomb of Ja’Nuwa. With the trade-off of having reduced maximum health, you can use this if you’re good at positioning or if you feel comfortable with having lesser health.
As mentioned above, you can buy this in Volcanic Island Armory. This is good for mages as having stamina recovery speed is really valuable for mages. I’d recommend using at least one Ring of Quickening instead of stacking increased cast speed rings.
Archer
Ring of Proximity boosts bow attacks the closer you are to the enemy, by around 10% to 20%. This can be found inside a chest northwest of Vernworth.
Ring of Skullduggery increases damage of your attacks behind an enemy by 20%. To obtain the Ring of Skullduggery, you have to finish the quest Hunt for the Jadeite Orb. There will be certain conditions that have to be met in the quest to get this ring.
Thief
As mentioned above, you can get this at Celeste’s Smithy in Checkpoint Rest Town. A thief will need all the stamina they can get, so this is a good ring to have early on in the game.
You can get this in a chest inside Thunderclap Cave. The same idea with Ring of Tenacity also applies here, as thieves need stamina.
Ring of Skullduggery is a great ring to equip on thieves, as you’ll be backstabbing a lot. As stated earlier, you can obtain this by doing the Hunt for the Jadeite Orb quest.
If you’re a thief, extra health alongside extra stamina will be great. This ring provides both of that, along with 5kg added carry weight capacity.
Having a 10% increased stamina recovery speed as a thief will always be a welcome addition. As stated earlier, you can buy this in Volcanic Island Armory.
Sorcerer
Having Ring of Tenacity early on for sorcerers will be good, as they consume a lot of stamina during spellcasting.
You should replace Ring of Tenacity with this as soon as you get this. This gives you more stamina for casting.
Ring of Articulacy reduces time taken to incant spells by 15%. As stated above, you can buy this from Grisha’s Armory over at Sacred Arbor.
Ring of Recitation reduces time taken to incant spells by 25%, but it reduces your maximum health by 20. This can be found inside a chest in Tomb of Ja’Nuwa. You can also get a duplicate from doing the quest A Game of Wits. As a sorcerer, you can stack these effects multiplicatively, as you’ll have access to Galvanize to replenish your stamina.
Warrior
This is a ring that will be good to use early on for warriors, as you’ll need stamina to be able to tank enemy hits.
You can upgrade to this ring from Ring of Tenacity as soon as you get this.
Ring of Vehemence increases your knockdown power by 100. You can get this early on by turning in 5 Seeker’s Tokens in any vocation guild, with Vernworth being the closest. You can also purchase this at Volcanic Island Armory for 10,000G. As a warrior, knocking down enemies will be part of what you do, so this is a good ring to have.
Mystic Spearhand
As stated above, Ring of Tenacity provides a maximum stamina boost. You can get this early on in the game, so this’ll be beneficial to use as a mystic spearhand.
This is a big upgrade from Ring of Tenacity, so you should be using this as soon as you get it.
Ring of Skullduggery will be good on mystic spearhands, as you tend to hit enemies rapidly from behind.
Magick Archer
As with archers, this is a ring you could have equipped for your magick archer. This increases the damage you deal to enemies the closer you are to them.
You’ll have easier access to an enemy’s back as a magick archer, so the damage you deal will be amplified by the Ring of Skullduggery.
If you prefer to have 10% increased stamina recovery, you should be using this ring. However, as a magick archer, you won’t be really encountering any stamina management issues.
Trickster
This is a good ring to use for a trickster, mainly for its maximum stamina increase.
You’ll be needing stamina as a trickster, as you’ll mostly be running around the battlefield. Having this ring equipped will be a good choice, as this increases your maximum stamina by 150.
As you run around the battlefield as a trickster, it’ll be good to have a ring that boosts your stamina recovery speed. Ring of Quickening helps with that, as it increases it by 10%.
This ring increases your magick by 30. You can find this inside in chests near Vernworth or Checkpoint Rest Town. This increases your simulacrum’s health, allowing them to take more hits before dying.
Final Thoughts on Rings
Unfortunately, there aren’t a lot of great rings in Dragon’s Dogma 2 as each vocation would have similar rings. Most of the rings you’ll want to have a duplicate of will be obtained via the Sphynx quest.
