CI Games and the developer Hexworks have released the “Clash of Champions” update for Lords of the Fallen. This update introduces two previously unannounced ‘boss rush‘ modes and includes additional performance improvements.

Lords of the Fallen Adds Clash of Champions

With “Clash of Champions,” players can now replay boss battles against previously defeated enemies or face them sequentially in one of several grueling trials. Both modes can be played solo or with a partner in online co-op multiplayer.

The update follows the version 1.5 update, “Master of Fate,” the final part of the post-launch content roadmap for Lords of the Fallen, released in late April. “Master of Fate“ marked the culmination of over 30 post-launch updates, which significantly improved performance, stability, and difficulty balance across the board, along with several substantial content drops.

It also introduced an advanced game modification system, allowing players to customize various game mechanics (including the number of enemies, random loot, and pre-upgraded weapons) to make their adventure easier, more challenging, or simply a completely new experience with each playthrough.

Lords of the Fallen Available on Xbox Game Pass

Since its release in October 2023, Lords of the Fallen has captured players’ attention with its challenging gameplay and rich, interconnected world. Developed by Hexworks and published by CI Games, this title was presented as an ambitious evolution of its 2014 predecessor and received a good reception from critics despite launching with multiple technical issues that the developers have addressed through various patches and new content.
