In this Blasphemous Blade Build Guide, I’ll be showing you my Blasphemous Beastman Build. This is a level 100 build that’s a Strength-Faith build that takes advantage of the Beast Incantations that you’ll find in the game.

Elden Ring Blasphemous Blade Build Guide – Blasphemous Beastman

A Strength/Faith hybrid build that uses Bestial Incantations and the Blasphemous Blade to destroy enemies at range or in melee combat.

Elden Ring Blasphemous Blade Build Guide – Equipment

The way this build kind of started was that I was looking at the Bestial Incantations trying to figure out how to make them deal maximum damage and going on from there. I did some experimentation with some different seals, and I basically figured out that it doesn’t matter specifically what seal you use for Bestial Incantations depending on what your set-up is, it’ll change which is best for you. If you’re doing a Strength-Faith set-up, the Clawmark Seal will be the go-to for you. If you’re doing a pure Faith build, this will obviously not be the case and you’ll get more damage by playing with a regular S-scaling Faith seal. You can also use the Clawmark seal with a pure Strength build, and you’ll do better than you would if you were using any Faith seal that has S-scaling.

I found out that if you’re going to be using the Clawmark Seal, you want to do some sort of split between Strength and Faith. If you’re going full Strength, you’ll still have fairly good damage on your incantations, but it feels like your damage as you get above 50 Strength starts to drop off. This is also true for Faith, so it would be better to have 40 or 50 of each attribute instead of 80 in either Strength or Faith. The exception here is if you want to display a pure Strength build and you want some incantations to back you up, you can get damage out of it that way. For this build, I was trying to get maximum damage out of the Bestial Incantations, so I went for a Strength-Faith split set-up.

This build is a Strength-Faith build, so I need to find a weapon that scales with Strength and Faith. I ended up using the Blasphemous Blade for this build. Not only does this weapon deal incredible damage, but it also fits very well with this set-up because of our attribute spread. We have a lot of Mind, Faith, and Strength, so you can use the ability of this weapon which hits like a truck. It works really well for this build because the weapon art is so strong that you don’t really need to dual wield great swords with this build in order to get good damage.

The playstyle with this build is using the Bestial Incantations at range, then using the Blasphemous Blade to supplement that as necessary instead of leaning towards a great sword playstyle. The weapon art for Blasphemous Blades, Taker’s Flames, does 100% fire damage. The weapon itself deals physical and fire damage, so in situations where enemies are resistant to fire, having a back-up option such as Bestial Incantations work very well.

We’ll be using the Cinquedea for our offhand as this boosts Bestial Incantations by 10%. Basically, the set-up is you’ll have the Sacred Seal and Blasphemous Blade on your right hand, and you’ll have the Cinquedea on your left. When you go to cast spells, you’ll swap Blasphemous Blade into your seal, then two-hand your seal. The reason you want to two-hand your seal for this build is because the Strength scaling increases by 1.5x when you two-hand, which is applied to your incantation damage. With other seals, it would only apply to melee attacks. With Clawmark Seal, however, it will also apply to your incantation. You’ll want to two-hand your seal whenever you can in order to get maximum incantation damage. Keep in mind that it will also apply Cinquedea’s damage to you while you’re two-handing the seal as long as it’s still on your off-hand.

As far as armor goes, it’s not super important what you use here. You want to be able to do a medium roll and have maximum protection. I like to use the Omensmirk Mask here because I kind of feel like it fits the theme. It also gives +2 Strength, and we’ll need all the stats we can get for this build. It also doesn’t have any negative effects here, so this will be a good choice.

Elden Ring Blasphemous Blade Build Guide – Talisman

For talismans, I have the Ritual Sword Talisman, Dragoncrest Shield Talisman +1, Green Turtle Talisman, and Radagon’s Soreseal.

Radagon’s Soreseal is pretty much a must for this build at this point in the game. You have a crazy stat spread with this build. You’re going to need Strength, Faith, Mind, Endurance, and HP. Having to spread stats between five attributes is very difficult to do at level 100, and Radagon’s Soreseal basically frees up some stat points to be used in Faith and Strength to increase the damage of our incantations and Blasphemous Blade. I’m hoping to remove this on the level 150 version of this build because I don’t like having things in my build that increase the damage that I take. However, it’s going to be tight even at level 150 to get our desired stats.

We’ll also be using the Ritual Sword Talisman. This gives you increased damage with your spells and Blasphemous Blade when you’re at full health. What’s really great about Blasphemous Blade is that when you kill enemies with it, you gain 6.5% of your max HP back, so it’s not going to be hard to keep full health with this build. If you’re using an incantation like Blessin’s Boon, then you’ll just further keep your health topped off, which is great.

Dragoncrest Shield Talisman +1 is there to increase your protection. You’re going to take increased damage from Radagon’s Soreseal, so this is used to offset that effect. You also don’t have a lot of Endurance because your stat spread is crazy, so you’re not going to be able to wear heavy armor. This talisman will help give you some decent protection.

Green Turtle Talisman is used because when you’re spamming Taker’s Flames or Stone of Gurranq, you’ll chew through your stamina and it’s really the one determining factor that’s going to stop us from spamming. This will be used to regenerate stamina faster so you can get back to flinging rocks faster or spamming Taker’s Flames during boss fights.

If you know that you’re going to spam fire spells in a boss fight, you can swap out something like Dragoncrest Shield Talisman for a Fire Scorpion Charm to increase your fire damage for the fight. Taker’s Flames is 100% fire damage, so that’s going to benefit that substantially.

Elden Ring Blasphemous Blade Build Guide – Gameplay & Tips

The incantations that I use for this build are: Bestial Sling, Beast Claw, Stone of Gurranq, Flame, Grant Me Strength, and Golden Vow.

Golden Vow is there to increase your damage from all sources, while reducing the damage that you take. You’re going to try to keep this buff up 100% of the time while you’re running around fighting things and in boss fights.

Flame, Grant Me Strength boosts not only your physical damage, but also your fire damage. The Bestial Incantations all deal physical damage, while Blasphemous Blade deals fire damage. This will boost their damage. Taker’s Flames and Stone of Gurranq will also be boosted by this, so this is a good boost to have for this build.

Stone of Gurranq is your go-to ranged spell. I feel like it out-damages the other spells significantly. You can chain it very quickly, and it’s just really good. It also does strike damage, which is a very effective damage type in the game, particularly against enemies that are resistant to other types of damage. It’s good to have another damage type, which Stone of Gurranq offers.

Beast Claw doesn’t deal the damage that Stone of Gurranq does. It was very powerful in the beta, but it’s just not as good as it was. It’s good for AoE damage, like if you’re using AoE on horseback. If you need some AoE, this is a pretty good option. Stone of Gurranq has a smaller AoE with its explosion when it hits, but this has a much wider AoE so it’s good for that.

Bestial Sling is kind of a spammable close-range fan-like ability. It’s good for AoE and for large enemies. Generally speaking, if you’re close to an enemy, which you’re going to be with this build, you’re going to be mauling them with Blasphemous Blades or using Taker’s Flame. Otherwise, you’re going to try to stay at range with them so you can use spells like Stone of Gurranq.

You can also add other incantations to this build like Blessing’s Boon to get a heal over time spell just because you’re using the Sword Ritual Talisman.

Generally, the way this build plays is that you’re going to keep Golden Vow up as you move around the landscape. You’re going to be flinging rocks at enemies with Stone of Gurranq, which’ll usually one-shot regular enemies. Sometimes, you’ll run across some difficult enemies, so it’ll take more. You’re generally trying to play at range while you can. Make sure that you’re two-handing your seal whenever you can to help increase your damage. If you encounter an aggressive enemy, or an enemy you just can’t range, you’re going to switch to Blasphemous Blade. You can either use Taker’s Flames here or you can just melee them.

When you go into boss fights, you probably need to assess or do some trial-and-error to figure out what a boss is weak to. If they’re weak to fire, you want to run in and spam Taker’s Flames as much as you can in order to mel them really quickly. If they’re not, then you want to keep chaining Stone of Gurranq at range. You can even use this point-blank if you time your rolls correctly.

Elden Ring Blasphemous Blade Build Guide – Attributes

My stat spread for this build is 35 Vigor, 30 Mind, 21 Endurance, 40 Strength, 17 Dexterity, 9 Intelligence, 40 Faith, and 9 Arcane. Keep in mind that Vigor, Endurance, Strength, and Dexterity are all boosted by 5 each thanks to Radagon’s Soreseal, and Strength is boosted by +2 thanks to the helmt I’m using.

35 Vigor is around the minimum that you want for a melee-type build. This is not necessarily a melee build, but somewhat a melee-hybrid build. We can get away with 35 Vigor there, but I don’t think you’re going to want too much less than 30.

Mind is there because you spam spells with this build. Not only do the buffs cost a good amount of FP, but a lot of our spells which we regularly use also cost a good amount of FP. You want to be able to use these as much as you want. You have lots of blue flasks, but you want to make those last longer so the Mind stat here really helps with that.

Endurance is just enough in order to use the armor that we’re using to still be in medium roll. It’ll also be for the weapon that we’re using, which may vary a little bit depending on the armor that you’re using. Make sure you don’t have any more Endurance than you need at this point because your stat spread is already crazy thin.

40 Strength and Faith are there to increase the damage of your incantations, and also to increase the damage of Blasphemous Blade. This is a really good stat spread for this. The reason I wanted to use Radagon’s Soreseal is because it freed up basically 10 points for these stats that I wouldn’t have otherwise. Getting that damage as high as you can is important. I’m hoping we can pull Radagon’s Soreseal out once I get to 150, and we’ll be able to boost these stats a bit further to increase the damage as it can’t stay there as we progress through the game.

17 Dexterity is enough to use Blasphemous Blades. You only need 15, but my class started with 12 so there’s kind of 2 wasted points there, which goes towards Blasphemous Blades’ damage anyway so they’re not a total waste. Otherwise, they’re not super useful for this build. You don’t want more than 15 Dexterity.

Arcane and Intelligence are not needed for this build. I just happen to have nine each of these from the class that I selected.

Elden Ring Blasphemous Blade Build Guide – Final Tip

One last tip is that if you’;re using the Flask of Wondrous Physick for boss fights, you need to change it up depending on what your strategy for the boss is.

I generally default to the Faith-Knot Crystal Tear in order to increase Faith, which will increase the fire damage of your Blasphemous Blade as well as its ability. It will also increase your incantation damage, so that’s good.

Greenburst Crystal Tear increases your stamina recovery by 30%, which stacks with Green Turtle Talisman. This’ll help you increase your stamina recovery in order for you to spam spells faster in boss fights.

If you go into a boss fight and you know they’re weak to fire, you can swap to Flame-Shrouding Cracked Tear. This will increase your fire damage for three minutes, so that’ll be a better bang for your buck. It’s kind of situational, but you’ll want to swap those up.
